Welcome to the 4th Annual BYOB (Bring Your Own Bizjets) Event!

It's that time of year again, fellas! Berkshire Hathaway will have their annual shareholders meeting in Omaha on Saturday, May 1. ZMP will once again host an event to mark this occasion by encouraging VATSIM pilots to bring their business and corporate aircraft into Omaha's Eppley Airfield (KOMA). Pilots should plan to arrive at KOMA between 1800 and 2200z (1300 - 1700 CDT) to ensure that our controllers are on position and ready for them.

Omaha also receives scheduled airline service from American, Delta, Frontier, Midwest, Continental, Southwest, United, and US Airways, so feel free to grab an airliner and join us as well if corporate flying isn't your particular cup of tea.

ZMP will have Omaha airport fully staffed, along with the R90 TRACON and appropriate enroute sectors. Controller workload permitting, we will also attempt to expand services to cover the adjacent Lincoln Airspace, but Omaha will be the primary focus of this event.

Looking forward to bizjet frenzy, so join us at Omaha on the 1st!

What the heck happened? When I signed up, it was the only position left, now almost everything's open....
